Virgin Atlantic : Trip Safety Film

We wrote the music and did the sound design for the new Virgin Atlantic flight safety film.

Thanks to Art and Graft, we got to write the score and sound for this epic and fun flight-safety film for Virgin Atlantic. This score seamlessly flows between classic film genres. The trick was to keep the momentum of the film going while making really bold “genre signposts” with the music and sound. The soundtrack incorporates Spaghetti Western, 1960s TV Marvel comic-book style, 70s badass road movie, film noir with Herrmannesque strings and brass, pic space adventure with choir, low budget 1980s monster movie, full swing big band on the Busby Berkeley sequence,  psychedelic 1960s rock, all the way to classic feelgood Hollywood orchestral score!

We also recorded the Morgana Richardson as the voice of the narrator, along with the sound design and foley, which needed to be just as genre specific as the music. A delight to work on!

What we did: original score composition and sound design.
